ATC grows by shrinking customers' telecom costs
Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber Spotlight, April 21, 2009 – If you are a company whose primary objective is to save other companies’ money, now is a good time to be in business, or so Advanced Technology Consulting has found. During a time when the slumping economy is forcing many companies to reevaluate their bottom lines and cut costs, ATC has increased its revenue by nearly 50 percent over the last year.
“People are looking to cut costs, and ATC is strong in this area,” said ATC co-founder David Goodwin.
ATC is a Mason-based telecommunications consulting company that assists companies of all sizes in the selection, procurement and management of telecommunications services through a single point of contact. By leveraging a partnership network of more than 50 carriers, ATC consultants save their clients an average of 30 percent on their telecom needs, including: local, long distance, data, Internet access, VoIP , audio/video conferencing, Web conferencing/Webcasting/Webinars, cellular/wireless, Metro Ethernet, and dark fiber.
What’s even more astounding, ATC’s service generally costs their clients nothing, as 80 percent of the company’s revenue is from paid commissions by the service providers they work through.
Today ATC operates out of two offices, on in Mason, Ohio, the other in South Windsor, Connecticut. The company currently services approximately 500 clients nationwide, 300 out of the Cincinnati office. In 2008, the company was named one of the Chamber’s Small Business Excellence Awards 10 Under 10 winners.
ATC offers free telecom assessments to fellow Chamber members.
