Winners and runner ups were unveiled yesterday (May 13th) at the Cincinnati USA Business Awards luncheon at the Sharonville Convention Center. ATC received 2014 Runner Up for Fast Track Business of the Year. The business awards are presented by the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. Co-Founder and Managing Partner, David Goodwin, accepted the award on behalf of ATC (see pic).

(Read about it here at the Cincinnati Business Courier. See the video presentation here.)

The Fast Track Award focused on seven key business categories: background, customer focus, leadership style and company culture, strategic planning and sustainability, community involvement, fast track growth, and financial performance and sustainability.

Here are excerpts from ATC’s winning nomination:

Background
“In the early days, ATC assisted customers with switched and dedicated long distance services. Since, ATC has expanded its services, helping leaders of organizations with cloud migration, Voice over IP (VoIP) phone systems, unified communications, bandwidth and back-up.”

Customer Focus
“ATC works with business leaders at the enterprise level and within the SMB space. Most often, leaders in the SMB space value ATC’s services due to the fact that they have limited IT resources and love the concept of off-loading telecom, while maintaining an ongoing single point of contact for telecom maintenance and support.”

Leadership Style and Company Culture
“Every employee with ATC is encouraged to advance their knowledge base and develop their skill set on an ongoing basis. This is in accordance with the ATC management philosophy to always “sharpen the saw.” According to Stephen Covey, ‘Sharpen the Saw means preserving and enhancing the greatest asset you have—you.'”

Strategic Planning and Sustainability
“As technology evolves, converges, becomes more complex and convoluted, clients continually search for a firm offering expertise to minimize the risk of burning their time and resources on non-core elements of their business.”

Community Involvement
“Although ATC experienced record revenues in 2013, what made the year monumental was ATC’s continued community support and outreach. ATC contributed time and resources to approximately 17 different community organizations and non-profits.”

Fast Track Growth
“ATC saw the value and business case justification (5+ years ago), for the SMB in particular, for a cloud-based telecom solution. Additionally, hosted VoIP inherently leads into a global cloud discussion, which plays well into ATC’s budding cloud services practice. Both—hosted VoIP and cloud—require more bandwidth. However, organizations can acquire bandwidth at a fraction of the costs previously experienced, and get better service and speeds since fiber availability is increasingly more commonplace.”

Financial Performance and Sustainability
“ATC experienced record revenues in 2013. ATC’s 2013 revenues exceeded 2012 by approximately 30 percent.”
