With 30 years of experience in the telecommunications and IT industry, David Fournier brings in-depth knowledge of voice and data network engineering, automated agent design, capacity planning, and IT best practices to his role as senior technology consultant at ATC.
During each project phase, Fournier is charged with assessing client infrastructure and needs, designing and proposing next-gen solutions, and facilitating implementation. Applying expertise in savings analysis, pricing, promotion and contract re-negotiation, he is adept at helping client companies optimize technology services while reducing costs.
Prior to joining ATC in 2001, Fournier was with MCI WorldCom for six years. During his second tenure with the company, he served as a systems engineer focused on developing the company’s product portfolio. Transitioning into sales in the global account segment after his first three years, he advanced to a global account manager position focused on serving large-scale customers.
During the previous eight years, Fournier was a network engineer for Travelers Insurance. His responsibilities at Travelers included supporting the growth and data connectivity of the outlying field offices with the network. Additionally, he managed the networking of the corporate AT&T Intuity Audix voicemail system.
Fournier’s experience at Travelers Insurance was preceded by his first tenure with MCI WorldCom, which began through Northeastern University’s co-op program. Upon graduation, he joined MCI full time. Initially focused on network growth and new client order activation, he advanced to become a network design engineer handling network infrastructure design and fiber deployment.
Fournier earned a master’s degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Northeastern University. He resides in South Windsor, CT (east of Hartford), with his wife and three children, where he has been active in coaching baseball, softball and basketball.
