Vigilant: AI, Cyber Warfare, and the Future of Security Operations: Why One-Size-Fits-All AI Will Fail You – Chris Nyhuis

A decade ago, at the NAB conference in Las Vegas, a conversation revealed a harsh geopolitical truth—cybersecurity isn’t just about technology; it’s about control. A producer, desperate to keep his business alive in the wake of the Sony hack, lamented that Russia bans non-Russian cybersecurity providers. This moment foreshadowed today’s escalating battle over AI and data sovereignty, where state-controlled technology, corporate risk, and cyber warfare collide.

Now, AI is the new battleground, and cyber threats have evolved. Once broad and opportunistic, attacks are now precise, AI-assisted, and laser-focused on specific companies, industries, and individuals. The question isn’t just how AI is used—it’s who controls it.

This session will break down:

  • The AI Arms Race
  • Why Training Data Matters
  • The Sovereignty Shift
  • The Hybrid SOC Advantage
  • AI as a Cyber Partner

Aryaka: The GenAI Expanse: Explosive and Changing Adoption Will Drive Business Value and Networking and Security Risk – Ken Rutsky

We are just at the beginning of the AI revolution, one that has been incubating for decades and has now “blown-up” with the introduction of large language models (LLMs) and generative AI (GenAI) platforms, generating unimagined returns and benefits.

That’s the great news. The not-so-great news is that the security and networking challenges also increase as we integrate these applications with our processes and data across our organizations, stressing everything from governance to infrastructure and risk. This discussion will start with the adoption phases, the performance and security challenges at each stage, and finish with strategies for enabling secure and performant delivery as GenAI adoption continues to mature and accelerate.

Dialpad: Crawl, Walk, Run: Your AI Journey – Raf Rivera

OBS Global: Unlocking the Power of Data: How Forge Biologics Built a Scalable, Business-First Data Strategy – Mark Struck

Data is one of the most valuable assets a company has, yet for many organizations, it remains underutilized, siloed, or disconnected from business priorities. CIOs and COOs are often left managing fragmented systems and uncertainty about where data can create real impact. The challenge isn’t just having more data – it’s about making data actionable, accessible, and aligned with strategic goals.

In this session, we’ll explore Forge Biologics and Joyanna Wesche Blake’s journey from ad hoc data management to a structured, scalable Data & Analytics strategy. Instead of leading with technology, Forge took a business-first approach, mapping key processes, decision points, and pain points to uncover where data could drive the highest value.

Key Takeaways:

  1. Understand your data and decision landscape – map key KPIs, business processes, decision points, and pain points to uncover where data can create the most value
  2. Identify and prioritize use cases strategically – ensure that data initiatives are directly tied to real business challenges and opportunities rather than chasing trends
  3. Align your data strategy with organizational objectives – develop a roadmap that ensures data initiatives are actionable, measurable, and directly contribute to business growth, efficiency, and innovation.

If your organization is looking to move beyond dashboards and unlock the full potential of data, this session will give you the playbook to make it happen
