Nick Enger Promoted to CTO and Clayton Connor to CAO

ATC’s Nick Enger and Clayton Connor each received deserving promotions following ATC’s 6th consecutive record year in 2018. Enger has been elevated to Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Connor to Chief Administration Officer (CAO). Both will retain their roles as Senior IT Consultants as well.

“A rising tide lifts all boats,” says ATC’s managing partner and co-founder, David Goodwin. “It’s important to recognize performance and accomplishments. Both Nick and Clayton have been instrumental to ATC’s success. These promotions are natural extensions of the key roles Nick and Clayton have with our clients, partners and technology providers.”

Nick Enger, CTO + Senior IT Consultant

Enger will spearhead ATC Cincinnati’s next-gen IT technology practices focused on Network Services (voice and data), UCaaS, SD-WAN, Cloud and Security. Enger’s accomplishments are well-documented, consulting with clients such as St. Elizabeth Physicians, City of Covington, Kenton County, Commonwealth Hotels, Mike’s Carwash, Lykins Oil, Trustaff and Prasco. His work for St. Elizabeth Physicians earned ATC its first Digi Award. He has sat on numerous technology panels, sharing expertise on SD-WAN and MSP Selection, among other topics.

Enger has inspired and delivered new thinking to the marketplace by providing a unique combination of business acumen and technical aptitude as it pertains to emerging telecom, IT, cloud and security technologies. Educating business leaders and C-level executives to view IT as a strategic differentiator and growth enabler has been key to Enger’s success, and hence his promotion to chief technologist.

Enger has been recognized as a rising star, a next-gen leader and as who’s who in technology. He has also served on the board of the Technology Channel Association (TCA) and as a council member on CompTIA’s Tech Convergence Community.

“Clients increasing rely on ATC as their virtual technology officer. As a result, it’s been imperative for me to understand emerging, business-changing technologies and best practices. This role will only advance that cause.”

Clayton Connor, CAO + Senior IT Consultant

Often referred to as “Steady Eddie,” Connor is known for his even keel, attention to detail and consistency. Connor will take over key administrative roles operating the ATC Cincinnati office. These roles will include accounting, month-end reconciliation, benefit and investment administration, A/R and A/P, onboarding personnel and office management. He will also continue to perform as Goodwin’s key wingman leading and supporting consulting engagements, while providing Super Support™ to ATC clients.

Connor’s stellar work has been displayed with ATC clients Jeff Wyler, Ohio National, ProSource, Emery FCU, Dubois Chemical, Enervise, Sheakley, BD Capital, Mike Albert Fleet Solutions, Northwestern Mutual and many others.

“Our growth plans include the addition of two to four people before the end of the year,” states Goodwin. “With the addition of more personnel, Clayton’s new role, which is key to our day-to-day success, will allow me to be more focused on vision, new endeavors, strategy and growth. We are uniquely positioned as a trusted advisor—a high-level technology concierge so to speak—in marketplaces that are trending toward explosive advancement.”

“With our key personnel focused specifically on their customer-facing and business-leading roles, these responsibilities will be key to rising the tide, lifting all boats,” says Connor.

C-Change Spawned by ATC’s Sea Change

ATC recorded its sixth consecutive record year in 2018. Notably, 2018 was the largest growth year over the previous five. ATC’s “sea change,” or profound and noteworthy transformation, has been driven by ATC’s managing partners and co-founders David Goodwin and Darren DeMartino. Goodwin leads the Cincinnati, OH, office and DeMartino the Hartford, CT, office.

ATC’s change in direction years ago from a “broker” of traditional telecom services to a strategic, next-gen technology consultant, put the company squarely at the forefront of the technology evolution. Technology is constantly evolving and the pace of change continues to increase. Recent differentiation stems from its burgeoning networking, UCaaS, cloud computing, cyber security and managed services practices, as well as expertise regarding next-gen IT technologies such as Software-Defined Networking (SD-WAN), cellular optimization, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Network as a Service (NaaS).

With strategic technology decisions moving increasingly into the C-Suite, ATC has niched itself as the go-to advisor and solution identifier for complex IT decisions. For companies strapped for IT resources, ATC’s deep, segment-specific expertise has become indispensable to organizations looking to leverage IP-based solutions to build scalable infrastructures and growth platforms.

A driving differentiator for ATC within the marketplace is its carrier-neutral, solution-agnostic approach to solutions and services. ATC’s team of certified technology professionals leverages an extensive network of over 200+ technology providers. Although “savings” are always part of its approach, ATC has truly excelled at pinpointing technologies that create competitive advantages for clients, short- and long-term.
