Advanced Technology Consulting’s Ohio division recently restructured to form ATC of Ohio, LLC. As part of the restructuring, Nicholas Enger joins David Goodwin as a partner of the new organization with an equity stake. Goodwin will serve as CEO for the new entity. Enger will add the role of President to his ongoing role as CTO—one he has been serving since early 2019.
Enger started over 17 years ago as an intern while finishing his degree at the University of Cincinnati. He has been instrumental in spearheading ATC’s growth since then. In fact, 2023 was ATC’s 11th consecutive record year for revenues. In late 2021, ATC moved into ~7,000 square feet of Class A office space on the top floor of Liberty Center, a mixed-use community in Liberty Township, just north of Cincinnati, OH. With the new space, ATC’s Ohio division has continued to add to its workforce, which has tripled in the last three years.
ATC’s Connecticut division will operate under the longstanding name and leadership of Darren DeMartino. Both divisions—and companies—will continue working on strategic clients and sharing resources, where prudent, to deliver the best possible outcomes for all parties.
“This restructuring provides a pathway for greater flexibility and control, enabling us to increase scale and growth moving forward. This move will open up new options for our future and the long-term success of our business,” says Goodwin, who co-founded the original company nearly 25 years ago. “Nick has been a key component of our success for a long time. He has a proven track record for earning this new position. I’m excited to see how his encouragement, growth in leadership, and thorough understanding of technology build into him serving as the perfect steward to help guide ATC of Ohio well into the future.”
As CTO, Enger not only leads ATC’s internal technology initiatives but also serves as vCIO and a trusted advisor to some of ATC’s prime accounts. In his first two years as CTO, Enger directed the development of ATC’s next-gen IT consulting practice and formed the Ohio division’s Delta Team—its core consulting group. He also successfully redeveloped ATC’s engagement process with clients.
“Our consulting practice is uniquely positioned to serve IT leaders as their go-to independent technology advisor,” adds Enger. “We have developed one of the most holistic value propositions in the IT consulting industry, driven by our extraordinary team, their collective expertise, our proprietary process and systems, and our Super Support™. I fully expect big things from ATC in both the short- and long-term.”
Enger Charged with Driving Growth
Enger has inspired and delivered new thinking to the marketplace by providing a unique combination of business acumen and technical aptitude pertaining to emerging IT, cloud, and cybersecurity technologies.
As President and CTO, Enger will be tasked with continuing to help grow and expand the organization. ATC has experienced significant growth within its booming cybersecurity practice, in addition to its other three core areas: voice, network, and cloud. ATC’s Hospitality IT (HIT) division is also driving significant growth and is emerging as a shining star within the segment. In fact, two of ATC’s most recent hires have come within the HIT division to support its demand.
Connor Tasked with Holding Down the Fort
Clayton Connor will serve as ATC of Ohio’s CAO—one he has also been serving since early 2019. His role has expanded exponentially as he enters his 21st year with the organization. With commendable loyalty and ethics, he has been instrumental in improving the back office including, but not limited to, managing payroll and employee benefits, establishing an employee handbook, tending to various accounting, bookkeeping and financial deliverables, and more. Connor will continue to be responsible for ATC’s Super Support Team (SST) while serving as a member of ATC’s Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
Goodwin and Enger agree, “Clayton helps make it possible to be better at what we do. While we are tied up more frequently with new business opportunities, clients, events and serving on boards, he helps ensure the operation is running smoothly and aids us in addressing our areas of concern. His efforts underscore our commitment to serving our most prized assets—our team and our existing clients.”
