Ever since work-from-home (WFH) orders were put into place due to COVID-19, ATC Cincinnati’s Super Support Team (SST) has been in the field assisting clients and installing cloud-based phone systems. The SST’s implementation practice, led by Doug Neiheisel, has picked up the pace as businesses have begun to re-open, while also wearing masks and exercising social distancing.
In fact, since early March SST has implemented new UCaaS (Unified Communications as a Service) solutions at over 40 different locations, which has included over 550 endpoints/users. Additionally, during the first two weeks of Ohio’s WFH mandate, SST assisted in transitioning over 10,000 existing UCaaS seats from office-dedicated employees to WFH employees.
The COVID situation and the resulting state-by-state WFH orders have put the spotlight on cloud communications. Those businesses that had already adopted UCaaS solutions before the pandemic were more nimble and more effectively moved office-dedicated employees to WFH employees. While UCaaS adoption was on the rise pre-COVID, many experts believe that adoption will inevitably accelerate post COVID.
